Filming and taking pictures in public what does a photographer and videographer need to know

These days there seems to be confusion of what a photographer can do in public and pricey laws please check out these interesting videos by a barrister about the law and photography, to get the true/correct facts and information, on where you stand in the law if you are taking pictures or videoing in public

(in general, you can film or take pictures of anything you want from the public road but there is some exceptions to this rule i.e. when you are on private land and when you are on privately controlled land (privately owned premises) these topics will be covered in these videos below)

Other videos on the subject

Other advice to check out, on the subject of taking pictures and producing videos in public

Other things to think about:

Important Thing to remember: – Please be aware of your surroundings some places that may appear to be public but are in fact privately controlled (privately owned premises,) such places include shopping centres, showgrounds, etc (this may include some Museums as some Museums don’t allow photography) in such places you may be asked to leave or stop filming as you are on privately controlled land, even if you think you are on public land, in such places it is good practice to seek permission and to do research into the photography guidelines published by such places as museums, as you can see from the quote below, this is a interesting legal problem which photographers can face, because they are unaware that some public areas can be classed as private

(this quote can be found at
https://www.blpawards.org/competition/photo-rights)

“Many of the incidents in which photographers come into difficulty is that many places which you instinctively think are public are in fact privately controlled. This includes some shopping centres, Museums, showgrounds, car parks, some parks and play areas (depending on the attitude of the landowner) and various private structures, for example, Millennium Wheel on the South Bank in London. There is a trend for public places to become private, particularly in town centres which are developed with new shopping centres”

Another area you need to think about is if you are filming a concert you may be breaking the law unless you have permission from the concert organizers/band/artist

Another important point – always do your research, (check out the published photography guidelines of the places where you are going to:-

  • privately controlled areas (privately owned premises) I.e. Museums, tourist attractions, showgrounds, shops, shopping centres, cafes, bars, pubs, etc (if you are asked to leave the premises, or stop filming please do so, don’t argue with them, remain claim and do what they asked you to do (don’t give photographers and filmmakers a bad name by acting like a jerk))
  • if you going to another country please check the law regarding taking pictures in public in that country
  • if you need to always seek legal advice if you are unsure of the law

Jesus

We can find out a lot about Jesus from the Bible, but can we find historic evidence for Jesus outside of the bible, plus what did Jesus look like, check out the articles and videos below to find answers to these questions

Historical sources for Jesus:

There is lots of evidence that Jesus did exist other than the bible anyone who says he didn't exist does not really understand History, all the people that said he existed below did not have anything to gain by saying he existed if he didn't exist

Historian Flavius Josephus wrote one of the earliest non-biblical accounts of Jesus.

The first-century Jewish historian Flavius Josephus, who according to Ehrman “is our best source of information about first-century Palestine,” twice mentions Jesus in Jewish Antiquities, his massive 20-volume history of the Jewish people that was written around 93 A.D.

Thought to have been born a few years after the crucifixion of Jesus around 37 A.D., Josephus was a well-connected aristocrat and military leader in Palestine who served as a commander in Galilee during the First Jewish Revolt against Rome between 66 and 70 A.D. Although Josephus was not a follower of Jesus, “He was around when the early church was getting started, so he knew people who had seen and heard Jesus,” Mykytiuk says.

In one passage of Jewish Antiquities that recounts an unlawful execution, Josephus identifies the victim, James, as the “brother of Jesus-who-is-called-Messiah.” While few scholars doubt the short account’s authenticity, says Mykytiuk, more debate surrounds Josephus’s lengthier passage about Jesus, known as the “Testimonium Flavianum,” which describes a man “who did surprising deeds” and was condemned to be crucified by Pilate. Mykytiuk agrees with most scholars that Christian scribes modified portions of the passage but did not insert it wholesale into the text.

Cornelius Tacitus.

Tacitus connects Jesus to his execution by Pontius Pilate.

Another account of Jesus appears in Annals of Imperial Rome, a first-century history of the Roman Empire written around 116 A.D. by the Roman senator and historian Tacitus. In chronicling the burning of Rome in 64 A.D., Tacitus mentions that Emperor Nero falsely blamed “the persons commonly called Christians, who were hated for their enormities. Christus, the founder of the name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator of Judea in the reign of Tiberius.”

As a Roman historian, Tacitus did not have any Christian biases in his discussion of the persecution of Christians by Nero, says Ehrman. “Just about everything he says coincides—from a completely different point of view, by a Roman author disdainful of Christians and their superstition—with what the New Testament itself says: Jesus was executed by the governor of Judea, Pontius Pilate, for crimes against the state, and a religious movement of his followers sprang up in his wake.”

“When Tacitus wrote history, if he considered the information not entirely reliable, he normally wrote some indication of that for his readers,” Mykytiuk says in vouching for the historical value of the passage. “There is no such indication of potential error in the passage that mentions Christus.”

Additional Roman texts reference Jesus.

Shortly before Tacitus penned his account of Jesus, Roman governor Pliny the Younger wrote to Emperor Trajan that early Christians would “sing hymns to Christ as to a god.” Some scholars also believe Roman historian Suetonius references Jesus in noting that Emperor Claudius had expelled Jews from Rome who “were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus.

Psalm 139 - The Message

Psalm 139 - The Message //cool verse that shows God Loved us before we were even born and knew everything about us

God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.

I’m an open book to you;

even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking.

You know when I leave and when I get back;

I’m never out of your sight.

You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence.

I look behind me and you’re there, then up ahead and you’re there, too—

your reassuring presence, coming and going.

This is too much, too wonderful, I can’t take it all in!

Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit?

to be out of your sight?

If I climb to the sky, you’re there!

If I go underground, you’re there!

If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon,

You’d find me in a minute you’re already there waiting!

Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark!

At night I’m immersed in the light!”

It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you; night and day,

darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;

you formed me in my mother’s womb.

I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!

Body and soul, I am marvelously made!

I worship in adoration—what a creation!

You know me inside and out,

you know every bone in my body;

You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,

how I was sculpted from nothing into something.

Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;

all the stages of my life were spread out before you,

The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.

Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!

God, I’ll never comprehend them!

I couldn’t even begin to count them any more than I could count the sand of the sea.

Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you!

And please, God, do away with wickedness for good!

And you murderers—out of here!—

all the men and women who belittle you, God infatuated with cheap god-imitations.

See how I hate those who hate you, God,

see how I loathe all this godless arrogance;

I hate it with pure, unadulterated hatred.

Your enemies are my enemies!

Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me;

Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about;

See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong, then guide me on the road to eternal life.

The Christian Life

God’s love and revelation

God’s love is unconditional you can not earn God’s love, God’s love is unlimited you can not put god in a box, he is unlimited so we need a unlimited view of him and allow him to work in ours lives

God is for us and has our best interest at heart and wants to bless us, even if we mess up God still loves us and will not let us down, we need a daily revelation of who, God is and what he thinks of us

We need to change my view of God and how he views.  We need to ask God and read the word to find out what God thinks of me daily

The Father heart of god and his holiness

God wants us to come to him as we are, but he loves us so much he does not want us to remain the way we were, so he changes us into the people he wants us to be.

God does not want us to carry the baggage of the past around with us and want to heal us of it.

God sent us his son to die on the cross to take away our sin and pay the price for that sin death, because he loved us.  He wanted to save us from our shelves and our destructive patterns and make us right with him.

We need to allow God to take away Our baggage and allow him to heal us

The cross images and victory

Jesus paid a price for my sin because he was the only one that could do it. We have been brought from slavery of death and sin, this means we are free.

The price for that freedom was high and a sacrifice, the only one that could pay it was God so he sent himself, the only response, to it is gratitude and accepts what he has done as a gift to us.

He has restored our relationship with god and he restores our identity and purpose for being.  Jesus turns victims into victors and Jesus wants us to help people. Jesus has wiped the slate clean, does not keep a record of our sins and gives us a new identity; we don’t need to hold onto shame.

In the light of this we need to get rid of negative things people have said to us / or things we ARE ashamed of, by writing them down praying over them and throwing them away.

The Nature and the correct handing of God’s word

Sometimes our life is like the computer term GIGO which means Garbage in, Garbage out, in other words if we plant bad things i.e., things that harm us spiritually, we produce fruit that should not be there.

We need the plant good seed into our lives i.e. the word and what God thinks of us, we need to spend time with God, we can sometimes be too busy running around for God that we forget the spend time with God.

Gods words do not return void if God says it will happen.

God’s word can harm people if used wrongly, we need to learn to use it correctly and we should always use God’s word in love.

In the light of this we need build in down time our lives where we can spend time with God, we can use the wasted times in times in our lives to do this i.e. travelling by bus productively by reading the word, praying and spending time with God

Correct handling, purpose of Gods word

God word has the power to direct us, and empower us, set us free and tell us the truth about us, but used incorrectly it can harm people we should always use God’s word to build people up and use it with love and grace to help people and set them free.

Jesus is our role model and we should always use God’s word as Jesus used the Word and we need the Holy Spirit to do this.

God words don’t return void if God says it will happen, we need to trust God that the words placed on our lives will come true.  God has a plan and a purpose for my life I need to trust God that he will lead me into it.

we need to build the word in me daily and spend time with God.

Faith

You can be a Christian a long time and not know fully who Jesus is, we need a intimate relationship with him to know who he is,

We need to go deeper and have a more intimate relationship with him, how we view God determines how we view our world and our identity.

We need to have passion to know who is and please him, worship is not just singing songs on a Sunday, worship should be our whole life, and it’s not about me its all about him.

We should be in God's amazing story not him in ours

We need to trust who God is, if God says it will happen, God words don’t return void, also God knows us and knows what we need.

we need to trust God, and praise God in faith that things, we are praying for will come about

Releasing power of faith

God has a plan for our lives, God knows what he wants us to do, God knows our destiny and the way to go, God prepares us for the thing he wants us to do.

To grow in faith we need to operate faith by doing what he wants us to do.

When I pray about situations I need to be specific.

Living in faith can lead to God giving us dreams and visions, God can give us specific words in our lives that impact our lives, we need to keep these words and stand on them.

we need to find out what God wants us to do and do it

New covenant blessing and living in the power

We had messed up, we could not meet God’s perfect target for us to live by, so God sent his son Jesus to willingly die in our place and pay the price, because only he could meet the target and he loved us.

God wants us to spend quality time with him, God want us to be in his Amazing Story, he wants us to do life with him and do amazing thing for god. We should not rule our selves out from God using us.

God gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us for the work he wants us to do in our lives, and he gives the Holy Spirit freely and without limit.  The same God who made the earth and the heavens is inside you.

God wants to bless us and God wants the very best for us, God knows what we need, god does not want us to live in mediocre lives.

we should allow God to use us more, and find out what he wants me to do, and spend more time with him.

Worship

Worship should connect you to God, and it should change you and restore us, Worship is powerful, when we worship things happen.

Worship is not something we do it’s who we are we should be worshippers it’s in our DNA, it involves all of us, not just singing songs on Sunday morning, we should be Extravagant with our worship, we should give our all for God.

Worship comes out of a loving relationship with God and is our hearts response to a loving God, worship or service comes from our heart not because we have to do it but we want to do it, because we love him and he loves us, and we should fall in love with him daily, we need to worship in the secret place, Worship is all about God, When we worship its not for us, its not for anyone else it’s all for God, God is the audience of one and all we do is for god, You can not earn God’s love he loves us anyway and loves to be with us.

God does not need our gifts and talents, he wants you.

When things go wrong we should praise God, even when it’s hard to worship, god meets us in worship.  we should fall in love with daily, and give him all of us, the only way is to spend time with him

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is person, not a it, he is not gas, or a object he is a him, he has a personality and can be hurt or grieved, he also speaks.  The Holy Spirit is like Jesus living inside us and helps us live life and to pray.

Holy Spirit guides us, the Holy Spirit is a gentleman and never forces us to do something we don’t want to do and The Holy Spirit never goes against the Gods word or will.

Holy Spirit helps us to understand we are loved and accepted by God and confirms we are Gods children and belong to God

Holy Spirit transforms us into the people God wants us to be and helps us do the things he wants us do.

We need to receive the Holy Spirit daily, Holy Spirit Glorifies Jesus and points to him

FRANCISCAN BLESSING

May God bless you with a restless discomfort about easy answers, half-truths and superficial relationships, so that you may seek truth boldly and love deep within your heart.

>May God bless you with holy anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may tirelessly work of justice, freedom, and peace among all people.

May God bless you with the gift of tears to shed with those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, or the loss of all they cherish, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and transform their pain into joy.

May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you really CAN make a difference in the world, so that you are able, with God’s grace, to do what other claim cannot be done.

Mental Health, depression and Suicide

this is a important subject that needs to be addressed, this subject is for everyone and everyone needs to read this to help yourself or someone you know

Rick warren’s brave message about depression and suicide, plus the effects of it
You don’t know what people are going trough, we need to look after people, check up on them and see how they are doing or if they need help.

If you are not going through or have been through something that someone else has (e.g emotional pain, mental illness, bullying, or anything else someone may be going through) don’t say we all go through that if you haven’t , because it maybe harmful for people, just be there for people even if it is just to listen and not give advice sometimes people just want to be heard and get things off their chest

- we all have scars, we all have a history, be careful how you treat people, you don’t know their story, you don’t know what they have gone through, be careful how you treat people you don’t know what is going on in people’s head

- we need to be there for people, check on them see if they are ok, if you know someone that is quite look after them find out how they are doing.

- this is very important, if you need help ask for it, don’t hold back, if you have a problem bothering you, what ever it is i.e bullying, mental health problems ,etc you need to talk about it, don’t keep it to yourself, seek emotional counselling if you need to or talk someone you know and trust, It is ok to be a quite person, whether you are shy person or a introvert be comfortable in who you are, but if you have a problem don’t keep it to yourself.

- if you are feeling suicidal you need to talk to someone seek emotional counselling, or check out the suicide prevention services and charities in your area, suicide does not solve anything, it does not make it better, it is only taking you away from the chance of it getting better.

check out the warning signs that you are becoming depressed
https://www.powerofpositivity.com/8-signs-youre-becoming-depressed/

we should never be afraid to talk about mental health issues and suicide they are issues that need to be talked about not brushed under the carpet, we should not alienate people who, suffer from mental health issues but help them, we should talk about Mental health the same as physical health.

Getting help in an emergency if you are feeling suicidal
If you don't feel you can keep yourself safe right now, seek immediate help.
  • go to any hospital A&E department (sometimes known as the emergency department)
  • call 999 and ask for an ambulance if you can't get to A&E
  • ask someone else to contact 999 for you or take you to A&E immediately
If you need some support right now, but don't want to go to A&E, here are some other options for you to try:

contact the Samaritans on freephone 116 123, they're open 24 hours and are there to listen
Suicidal feelings can range from being preoccupied by abstract thoughts about ending your life, or feeling that people would be better off without you, to thinking about methods of suicide, or making clear plans to take your own life

If you are feeling suicidal, you might be scared or confused by these feelings. But you are not alone. Many people think about suicide at some point in their lifetime.

What does it feel like to be suicidal?

Everyone's experience of suicidal feelings is unique to them. You might feel unable to cope with the enduring difficult feelings you are experiencing. You may feel less like you want to die and more like you cannot go on living the life you have.

These feelings may build over time or might fluctuate from moment to moment. And it's common to not understand why you feel this way.

Warning signs to look out for
  • feeling hopeless, like there is no point in living
  • being tearful and overwhelmed by negative thoughts
  • feeling unbearable pain that you can't imagine ending
  • feeling useless, unwanted or unneeded by others
  • desperate, as if you have no other choice
  • feeling like everyone would be better off without you
  • feeling cut off from your body or physically numb
  • poor sleep with early waking
  • change in appetite, weight gain or loss
  • no desire to take care of yourself, for example neglecting your physical appearance
  • wanting to avoid others
  • self-loathing and low self-esteem
  • urges to self-harm
How long will I feel suicidal?

Suicidal feelings can be overwhelming. How long these feelings last differs for everyone. It is common to feel as if you'll never be happy or hopeful again. But with support and self-help, the majority of people who have felt suicidal go on to live fulfilling lives. The earlier you let someone know how you're feeling, the quicker you'll be able to get support to overcome these feelings. However, it can feel difficult to open up to people. You may want others to understand what you're going through, but you might feel: Suicidal thoughts aren't permanent - things do improve. You can find your motivation to live again

Mother Teresa

the cool inspirational quotes by Mother Teresa about helping people https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Mother_Teresa
Mother Teresa MC, known in the Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta since her canonization,[5] (born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu Albanian: [aˈɲɛzə ˈɡɔndʒɛ bɔjaˈdʒiu]; 26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997) was an Albanian-Indian[1] Roman Catholic nun and missionary.[6] She was born in Skopje (modern Republic of Macedonia), then part of the Kosovo Vilayet in the Ottoman Empire. After having lived in Macedonia for eighteen years, she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived for most of her life.

Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which in 2012 consisted of over 4,500 sisters and was active in 133 countries. They run homes for people dying of HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children's and family counselling programmes; orphanages; and schools. Members must adhere to the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience, as well as a fourth vow, to give "wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor".[7]

Yusra Mardini

this is a cool inspirational story of Yusra Mardini a refugee and now competing in Olympic games 2016, it teaches no matter what happens to you, even when it seems, all hope is lost, never give up!
“How tough is your journey? A year ago, 17 year old Yusra Mardini was stuck in a broken down dinghy with 20 other Syrian refugees between Turkey and Greece. Facing death like so many who had failed to make the trip, she and her sister jumped in the water and swam the boat all the way to land, saving everyone on board (almost all who couldn’t swim).
The story could end there but - incredibly - today Yusra will be representing no country, with no flag and no National Anthem, when she enters the Olympic Stadium to compete as an Olympic Athlete as part of the very first Olympic Refugee Squad. If you lost everything - your home, your family, your country…
Would you quit on life? Would you lay low and rebuild? Or would you - like Yusra - go all in and make a stand for your greatness? In 2012, Yusra’s family home was destroyed in the Daraya Massacre, when Assad’s forces killed hundreds of his own citizens in their homes. For the next three years, Yusra and her family tried to return to normality, but school was cancelled practically every week “or someone is shooting, and then you have to run.” So Yusra and her sister made a bid to escape - getting smuggled to the Turkish coast to board a dinghy heading to Greece.
As Mardini remembers, “There were 200, 300 people there, everyone waiting until there are no police in the sea so they can go.” Yusra’s crowded dingy’s engine died within 20 minutes of leaving. Only four in the boat could swim, but the two men who jumped in with Yusra and her sister soon gave up. Yusra says “I’m thinking, what? I’m a swimmer, and I’m going to die in the water in the end?”
So it was up to the two girls to keep going for the next three and a half hours: “The little kid kept looking at me, scared, so I was doing all these funny faces.” They made it to Lesbos, then were smuggled through Serbia to Hungary, Austria and finally, Germany - where she spent the winter queueing for days at a time to get asylum papers.
So how did she end up at the Olympics? Yusra says “I remember everything… I never forget. But it’s the thing that’s pushing me actually to do more and more. Crying in the corner, that’s just not me.” She continued her passion for swimming, and joined a local swimming club in Berlin, where her talent was seen by the National Team and IOC.
She decided to make a bid for the Olympics despite having no country to compete for, and qualified for the 100m Freestyle & 100m Butterfly. Now - one year after her swim across the Aegean Sea - Yusra is competing in the Rio Olympics as part of 10 athletes in the very first Refugee Olympic Team. She will be in the Stadium tonight, for the opening ceremony, saying “I want to show everyone that, after the pain, after the storm, comes calm days. I want to inspire them to do something good in their lives.”
However tough things get, remember it’s the tough times that make you tougher. So when you’ve got the option to sink or swim, keep on swimming. Pierre de Coubertin, who founded the modern Olympics, said about the Games: “The important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle.”
Yusra adds to that: “My message at these Games: Never give up.”“
